SPACE COLONY DIVISION

The Lagrange Stations are run by elements of the United Network Command Authority under the Free Access Treaty.

The first one built was Station 5 (2184-2191 TGC).   A Multi-Purpose Colony whose position is approx 60 degrees behind Luna in the moon's orbit.   This is the most stable orbital position around Earth.

Station 4, another Multi-Purpose Colony, quickly followed (2189-2195 TGC).   With the remaining stations built in the following order:   Station 6 (Fleet Habitat Facility), Station 1 (Primary Transfer Hub between Lagrange Space and beyond), Station 7 (Fleet Habitat Facility), and Station 3 (Primary Colony Habitat) were built afterwards in a continuing Space Colony Habitat program.

A major FLEET TRANSFER FACILITY and SPACEDOCK is under construction at the Lagrange 8 position with completion expected in 2240 TGC.

Lagrange space is named for the French astronomer-mathematician Joseph Louis Lagrange (1736-1813 TGC) who calculated five relatively stable orbital Libration Points between/around the Earth and Luna.
