MacMANUS decides on the Dreadnaught INDEPENDENCE and after confirming that O’DOULE will be left in Command of STARBENDER he begins to prepare for the transfer. McSTEWART, feeling cheated of his chance to bring MacMANUS down confronts him and then has the unfortunate luck of ending up on the wrong side of an Airlock without a Spacesuit, at light speed. All eyes focus on the prime suspect, MacMANUS. Meanwhile O’DOULE prepares to take command while trying unsuccessfully to keep her pregnancy from MacMANUS.
