MacMANUS gets the mission he wants but making it happen could be a killer.

When the Stellar 20 launched decades earlier each team went out with Info-Paks full of knowledge stolen from the Meganites. That won't be the case this time. A media blitz and some well times purchases, as well as a little extortion gives MacMANUS the edge he needs, but a privately funded deep space exploration has a whole new set of challenges as humanity prepares to push out into the true unknown for the first time in centuries. Meanwhile, competing factions dead set against any further threats to the status quo come into play with fatal results.
