A series of "good-byes" run the spectrum for MacMANUS as he prepares for his STELLAR 20 mission.

SYNOPSIS:
-
In orbit around Mars on the CARRIER VICTORY the RIGEL THREE is
the last of the Stellar 20 to go. MacMANUS is checking over the conversion while Alison is forging a solid policy of upgrades for COMMAND. The final four Meganite Diamond Back Fighters attack VICTORY while MacMANUS is running Faster than Light Flight trials with RIGEL
THREE. Following the destruction of the Meg Fighters MacMANUS heads off getting a final call from his father, out in deep space, ready to intercept a MEG Invasion Ship which comes on scanners and slows for reasons which can only be that the Invasion Ship has detected the
ambush.
